The DualTECH cleaning system is Hoover’s latest innovation to equip its carpet cleaning machines with leading edge cleaning technology. You may already be familiar with their patented SpinScrub system that users have rated highly. The new DualTECH cleaning system consists of a row of SpinScrub brushes and a rotating Powerbrush, hence the name DualTECH. It is featured in the the Hoover Power Path Pro model demonstrated here:
Hoover Power Path Pro Advanced Carpet Washer FH51102 Review (features Hoover DualTECH cleaning)
Hoover Power Path Deluxe Carpet Washer FH50951 Review (features 2 rotating brushrolls)
Why DualTech Cleaning?
The advantage of having dual brushing technology is that carpet dirt gets cleaned out from all angles. The rotating brushroll digs into the carpet threads from top to bottom while the SpinScrub brushes provides comprehensive coverage from side to side. By itself, it is quite obvious that the SpinScrub rotating system is sufficiently capable in taking out a lot of stains and dirt. The Powerbrush roll is an additional insurance against anything else that is stubborn. It also doubles up on the level of cleaning done with each cleaning pass.
Beyond that, some users like that the brushroll can help to groom the carpets. On the negative side, some people may not like having the additional brushroll out of concern that it will cause berber carpets to fuzz. So far, we haven’t heard that it’s a problem. If you have used the system, please leave us a comment below. It could help others decide if getting a DualTech brushing machine is worthwhile.
